Adult Size: 3cm or 1in, smallest puffer in the world as for as we know

Temperature: 80F-82F
Tankmates: Otocinclus catfish and some have luck with shrimp if they dont get eaten.
Salinity: Strictly freshwater fish, this species has been known to be sensitive to salt
Location: Inland waters of India (Kerala)

Diet: Frozen: bloodworms, brine shrimp, Mysis shrimp, Daphnia, Tubifix worms, and Krill
Live: Black worms, brine shrimp, and snails
Breeding: Not to much is known about breeding. The chain store Petsmart has had success with this. This is the cause of their low prices on them.
These puffers need good water conditions. They are not as sensitive as most puffers. But make sure your tank is cycled before buying one. They can be aggressive towards each other and have been known to kill one another over territory. It is best to keep a 1/3 male female ratio to keep aggression down.
