Howdy y'all! My name is Joe and I hail from Texas. (No...I don't REALLY talk like that!) I am one of the forum leaders for the bichir forum on Aquatic Predators. My primary piscine interests are bichirs, loaches and African labyrinth fish (Ctenopoma, Microctenopoma) and Sandelia (which are impossible to get). I've been keeping freshwater fish for a little over 40 years so I guess I've almost seen it all! Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Hi everyone! My name is Jeremy. I am a forum leader of the native fish forum. I enjoy collecting and keeping natives, but I also keep stingrays, datnoids, bichers, peacock bass, and "other" fish.
I am a true outdoorsman (which ultimately lead to my interest in fish keeping). I camp, fish, and hunt. In fact, I call myself duckman because I am an avid duck hunter.
I am currently 27 years old. I teach high school biology and chemistry in a suburb of Chicago.

Hi, my name is Melissa and I'm an administrator and designer for Aquatic Predators as well as my other side projects, Kings of the Aquarium and Dragon Charm. I have been keeping fish for most of my 23 years of life and have developed a deep interest in exotics along the line of Stingrays, Arowanas, Datnoids, Knives and the like. I also have a soft spot for Reptiles and own a breeding colony of Bearded Dragons. I'm an avid fish and wildlife photographer and also enjoy shooting in a studio setting. My other interests include web design and custom graphics, drawing, and exploring my Celtic heritage.

Hi, my name is Mike and I'm a specialist here for Aquatic Predators. I am preparing to graduate after much ado from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA with a major in history and -- thanks to a meandering 2 years off in the middle of my education -- minors in aquarium sciences (interdisciplinary/create-your-own) and marine science. My background in animals includes reptiles and fish among other things, with my most fascinating work having been in the training of dolphins, working with Hawaiian green sea turtles (Training and prep for release), Brown stingrays (Daysatis brevis; training and husbandry), and a wide variety of marine vertebrates and invertebrates.
My aquatic hobby interests cover a wide variety of fish, but I hold a special place in my heart for reefs (especially nano-reefs), most variety of coral, predatory catfish, African cichlids, and all manner of marine verts and inverts.
I also enjoy golfing, a little bit of baseball still, hanging out with my friends and enjoying the life of an actively dating single guy for at least a little while longer. I also dabble in photography, graphic arts, poetry and short fiction, and a wide variety of other "things" here and there. Longterm goals include the development of a professional and ethically-run aquatic business featuring state of the art facilities, aquaculture, and a true 'expert' and well-paid staff, but the realities of that are still most likely years away. They are also a far cry from the career in law that my first 3 years and inevitable history degree were originally leading me towards. An amazing experience in Hawaii helped guide me towards the life of working with aquatic life that I now wish to lead. In the short term I'm enjoying the small freedoms life has left for me and preparing for a return to the "real world" following my graduation this coming December.

Hi, my name is Solomon and I'm from Ann Arbor, Michigan. I'm a forum leader and moderator here at Aquatic Predators, with specific interests in the areas of primitive fishes (gars, bichirs, lungfishes) and North American native fishes; but generally have an interest in any 'oddball' fish.
I most recently keep most of the gar and bichir species, all of the lungfish species and also have a saltwater and brackish tank. (all my fishes are listed in my profile)
I am concurrently working on my Masters and PhD at the University of Michigan in Aquatic Ecology, specifically fish ecology in Michigan river systems. I enjoy working with fish both academically and as a hobbyist; so needless to say I'm around them all the time!
I also enjoy going to movies (I see a ton, its a sickness), biological photography, just about any outdoor stuff, playing Halo on xbox, and college football (GO BLUE!)
Feel free to PM or email me with any questions you may have and I will either answer them or point you in the right direction to get you the info you need. Thanks for checking out Aquatic Predators!

I'm Philip, I currently reside in St. Paul, Minnesota, I lead the pond and invertebrate forums here, specializing in indoor pond construction and centipedes. My interests, copied verbatim from my profile: Arowanas, a.t, beer, catfish, centipedes, dats, indoor ponds, film, firearms, freshwater stingrays, libertarian/anarchocapitalist politics, obscure knowledge (particularly medical/surgical), photography, planted aquariums and vivariums, pyrotechnics, scorpions, sex, spiders, women, Warhammer 40K.
I am currently employed at an area LPS, I more or less run the fish section. At some point I intend to either go into the wholesale side of things or move far enough away that I don't compete with my current employer and start my own shop.
