Hi...My name is Michael,

I am absolutally OBSSESSED with Piranha...i keep over 26 species and i have been doing so since the early 1980's...everything i do is oldSchool since i have had nothing but success with old school ways and equipment and never had a fish die in my pressence.

Alot of people know me on the net as Metal Maniac...i have my own Piranha Forum that has been going for about a month Called Metal Maniac's Piranha Palace and i also have been moderating Piranha-Cove for over 2 years.

I live in Guelph Ontario Canada very close to Toronto

I listen to copious amounts of Metal Music and i love to get tattooed as i am in the process of covering my body.

BTW-Guitar is my passion and live shows is what it's all about for me....i fit my lifestyle in right between my Wife and 3 awsome kids!!!

I have popped in and out of this forum since it started and see nothing but great people so full of knowledge and i am glad to have been welcomed here also as a Mod!

If there is ever anything you need or a question answered feel free to PM me anytime day or nite as i sleep maybee 4 hours an evening due too the maintanance on my 38+ full system setups!

Cheers All!!! thumbsup.gif

Hi Michael, nice to see you here. I just moved to Montreal from Vancouver and what do you know, I have family living in Oakville, closer to you anyway.

Give me a shout if you come through Montreal. In December I'm going back to Oakville for a weekend and maybe we'll get a chance to meet. With a kid on the wife, wife and myself in school, I don't have a lot of monsters at the moment, but I will ...slowly, slowly thumbsup.gif

Thought I had posted before but guess not so here goes.

Hi my name is Joe, and I'm a fishaholic. It started when I was probably 10-11 with a 10g tank ull of tetras and tiger barbs and other community fish. Then I went to college and really got into fish as I sit at a desk studying every day and night and I bought and stocked two 10g's with every aggressive fish you could think of. I used to grow evrything for 1 semester then sell it back to the fish store at the end of Finals when it was time to head home. It gave me 5 yrs to learn the habits of MANY fish. I ended up liking the Redline Snakehead.

When it came time to get my first summer job my very first paycheck was for a 55g set-up where I gre my Snakeheads large. But eventually my true love was born....the Arowana.

Once I bought my first house one of the first things I bought was my dream tank (at the time) a 240 long. I kept my 55g as a grow out tank but when it came time to upgrade (3 yrs ago) I took my first dive into salt. Since then I've feel in love with all the colors and aggresive fish that Salt has to offer.

I have since bought a 180 for my Fresh water fish including the Arowana and converted the 240g to Salt. Now I am experimenting with lot's of Saltwater fish and eels and have tons of FOWLR (Fish Only with Live Rock) experience.

Wow, that's alot....enjoy this forum its one of the best sites around.

well, it's been awhile and i thought i should update and say hi.

i'm currently down to 3 tanks, in the 210 i have 2 cichla ocellaris, 2 cichla temensis, 2 petenia splendida, 1 Clown Knife, and 1 Crenicichla Multispinosa (i'm told these are rare and i should feel fortunate to have him, but i worry about him constantly because he is too small to be in the company he's currently keeping).

in the 150 (soon to also be moved to the 210 after i change some filtration around), 2 w/c silver arowana, 2 cichla ocellaris/mono mutts, and 1 cichla orinocensis. and one common pleco that just won't go away.. lol.

in the 100.. soon to be moved to the 180, i have 9 cichla orinocensis, 1 BGK, and a handfull of bichers some ornate, some endli, some dels, at least one palmas and one senegal.. there may be more, i'm still learning about the different polys and i'm not exactly sure of what i have.

i also still have the 60 gallon running with 3 red jewels that spawn every few weeks, and 2 synodontis petricola that happily eat all the red jewel fry..
