Off of Bufford HWY in Doraville near the Buford hwy flea market. Its a small place, but has some large and some custom tanks for sale. They have a few of their own tanks for sale with curved from glass. 40g for $70. I didn't think thats too bad of a deal.

Cons: They don't speak much english. The owner wasn't that nice to me. The owner is the only person that knows anything about the fish and most prices. Not that great water quality and some seemingly unhealthy fish. High prices. Nothing is labeled and it seems like he quotes prices based on customer appearance.

Pros: good selection of stuff you won't find at any other stores around here. They have a TON or silver aros. In season get temensis and monoculus peacock bass, some with size. Normally a good selection of cichlids. Lots of goldfish and koi.

They have a HUGE tank, probably 400g tall right when you walk with some big midas, parrots and HUGE aro's 24"+. It is also pretty poorly maintained, but it is impressive. The aro's have eye droop and gill curl.

Even with the cons I still like going there to see what he's got.. even just to look.

I used to think that place is interesting to go look, but now I wouldn't give that guy a penny. He prices things different if your asian. His tanks are diseased and overcrowded. The last time I was in there he had three or four dead plecos in different tanks that were either rotted until they were white or just bones. Lastly, he sold me a Jardini that he claimed was a leichhardt. I really want to ring his little neck to be honest. That guy always has silver arowana, and jacked up looking parrot fish that would make good feeders. I'm surprised he even tried to speak with you.

yeah, i got an rtc and a big piece of wood. He wouldn't negotiate at all. I also think his quality is bad. My buddy might get a used tank from him.. and I MIGHT get a temensis when he gets some larger ones...

So you think the guy hates the white man? LOL

The store is probably shit thats why the prices are so high. Next time take an Asian friend with you and see what happens.

All the stores I go to that are owned by Asian guy's are great. They have the best looking fish and the best prices I ever seen. But I live in Toronto where the Asian markets thrive and all faces are welcome laughbounce.gif

He welcomes anyone. I havent tested this, but a few friends feel if you go on a work day and you are well dressed, it's a higher price than going on a slob Saturday afternoon. He knows most of us now, so I doubt that would make a difference. I did have an Asian friend go in he did get lower prices.. By $10-$20 on most fish. When the owners wife and his only worker were there by themselves one day they both gave me different prices...
I have spent a few thousand dollars there in the past year or so. Including two very nice wide bars, three arowanas including a jar, two big uaru, a decent size fl gar, a thin bar, several clown loaches and a few others. He knows me now and seems to give me a little more of a price break than he used to.

His tanks are always dirty with dead fish. It does seem that he's on an constant water changer, and I haven't tested his water, it seems like with the amount of poo there's no way he can control his nirtates. His variety is what keeps me going back.

BTW, for the few of you that have heard of his HUGE indo datnoid on display... it is gone. I believe it probably died due to the miniscule amount of filtration on his big display tank, but he claims to have taken it home to a bigger tank.
