i don't know anything about gars, but i see no problem with the rest of the crew. just make sure they are all at sizes that they won't want to eat each other.

i've never kept bichers with arowana, my aros don't bother anyone that isn't small enough to swallow, except once one of the wildcaught aros decided he wanted to make a snack of one of my altums. it was a tense couple of minutes but the altum got away unscathed, and the aros moved to a tank with bigger fish.

i've thought about putting floating plants in my arowana tank..

today i was thinking of bamboo or a Ti plant or 2 to grow in the 210.. and when everything is good an established and the big tank is set up i can transfer the whole shootin' match to the big tank.

I see no problems with the types of fish you want to combine, but I would be a little concerned with the amount of fish you want to put in the tank. A lot of those fish grow fairly quickly and the bio-load is going to be a fairly large on your tank. I've kept all but the bala sharks and the pim in a tank before and know they do just fine.

I'd only try that with BIG bala sharks (~20 cm and bigger), smaller ones would probably get eaten by the quick-growing gars.
