Soon I'm going to be upgrading my 4' tank for a 6 or 8', hopefully a 8 footer. My problem is what to put in the soon-to-be-empty 4 footer. I want predators and I don't want a single big fish, I was thinking a shoal of Rocket Gars Ctenolucius hujeta with some polys to help fill the lower levels and some other fish, not sure what. What do you guys think? It's either that or a large densly planted community tank. I've had some african leaf fish before and they're really cool.

I've never had Hujetas, but have always had trouble stocking fish that were active as mid-swimmers. Arowana for the top, polys and cats for the bottom, and then ???? How wide is your 4ft?

I've thought about an Aro before but I think the tank would be to small, it's just under 2' wide. I've had a few Hujetas before but died or got eaten before they got to any size but I've been told I could keep up to about 7 in my size tank. Got a while till I get a new tank so plenty of time to decide so ideas please.
