Old Town Aquarium, 1538 N. Wells, Chicago IL 60610
http://www.oldtownaquarium.com/Excellent selection of saltwater and fresh. Great live plants and corals as well.
Kinda pricey, but well worth it IMO. High Quality and rare stock.
Knowledgeable staff.

I don't find them any pricier than other aquarium stores in the Chicagoland area...unless you count Petsmart/Petco. Got a juvenile silver arowana for $30; others were charging at least $50.
Knowledgeable staff. They provide free water tests and are very conscientious about keeping their tanks clean and healthy. At one point they actually discouraged me from purchasing because they were having trouble with ick in that particular tank.
7-day guarantee on fish.

Old Towne and Living Sea (up in Park Ridge) were always my favorite stores.
I always thought that they were pricey as well. Years ago, they had a 8" leopoldi for $1000.
