I've visited 3 of them and the one in Portchester is the best so far.

Petco really sucks, please don't waste your money there.

I like Petgoods. There's only one store on Central (Park) Avenue in Scarsdale. They have ok selection of fishes and basically a full line petshop. They carry cheaper and better merchandise than Petland/Petco and the girls there look great (sorry, couldn't help it).

anyways, they also sell saltwater fishes and both new/old world cichlids. they always have loaches for sell for some reason and they have a good selection of plecos. mind you that the fishes there costs more than Petland/Petco. But they have much better knowledge of the fishes and their market prices (you can't kill their prices down, they know what they have). As with most other stores, the manager is not very nice and very FAT.

Petco not only have very poor knowledge of what they have (90% of the time they don't even know what they have) and the selection of fish is very poor. the products are somewhat more pricey compared to Petgoods and of course the animals are badly taken cared of. Dirty cages and emiciated/dead/sick animals.

u know something u are absolutly correct, the manager there is a big meany. i whent there the other day and she started complaining because i had a customer made a mistake about a coupon.but they do have a good selection of fish and supplies.
